The locomotive 0-4-0 Liverpool –Built by Edward Bury and Company [later Bury, Curtis and Kennedy] in 1830 at their Clarence Foundry in Love Lane, Liverpool. Known as a Bury Bar Frame locomotive, it was the first one of its class. George Stephenson was documented as being against the design, although it seemed to run satisfactorily. Ultimately, its use of large 6-foot wheels led to its demise.
