Small boats unloading produce from Wirral and the Isle of Man at Seacombe Slip in the 1830s. St Nicholas's Church is in the foreground. The dome of the Town Hall can be seen on the right and a semaphore signalling mast on the top of a building on the left of the picture. The mast was moved to Tower Buildings in January 1849.
