Jets of gas issued from the points of stars on the elaborate brass gaseliers. Pairs of massive brass doors - each pair 12'8"" high x 6'4"" wide - were at each of the three entrances on either side of the Hall. The trusses supporting the gallery were decorated with clusters of flowers and fruit or clusters of oak leaves, beneath the head of a lion.
